The Story Behind Éire & Wild: A Belfast Wedding Photographer based in London, travelling across Ireland and the UK

When my husband and I got married in June 2024, we knew the traditional route wasn’t for us. We wanted an intimate day that reflected who we are — an outdoor ceremony, time to ourselves in the evening and a celebration that felt truly personal. In our invitations, we told guests we'd be "hitching then ditching" — saying our vows, having a cuppa with everyone, then taking off in a rented, converted Land Rover Discovery to get tattoos and 'camp' on the beach!

It was perfect. Our ceremony took place in a garden we’ve always loved, and as my dad walked me down the aisle, the rain poured down — a very Irish moment! We planted a tree together, with each guest adding soil to the pot — a symbolic way to root our marriage in love and support. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, we had three cheesecakes from our favourite coffee shop in Belfast. Afterward, we hit the road, got our tattoos, and ended the night watching the sunset on the beach. It was chaotic, meaningful, and completely us.

That experience inspired me to capture weddings that are just as unique—where couples prioritise time together, embrace adventure, and celebrate in a way that truly reflects them.

The name Éire & Wild embodies my love for Ireland’s natural beauty and the untamed, adventurous spirit of life. Éire is Gaelic for 'Ireland', representing my Irish roots, drawing inspiration from our country's rich history, landscapes, and culture. Wild reflects my passion for the extraordinary, the unpredictable, and the offbeat moments that make each love story unique.
