Caolán and Francesca's vibrant mid-October wedding was a beautifully intimate celebration, set entirely in the heart of Belfast. With 50 guests travelling from England and across Ireland, the cosy city provides the perfect all-in-one location for their day. When they reached out to Eire & Wild for their wedding photography in Belfast, I was delighted to say yes!

With the ceremony set for 3pm, Francesca enjoyed a relaxed morning with her mum and soon-to-be mother-in-law, getting pampered in Andrew Mulvenna's Salon, just a 5 minute drive from her bridal suite in the Europa Hotel. Her classic long waves were styled by Adam Lee while DJ MUA created her flawless, soft bridal make-up.

After a girly morning of chats and pampering, Francesca returned to her hotel, where her parents helped with the final touches to her wedding attire.

Meanwhile, just a short distance away, Caolán and his groomsmen eased the nerves with a couple of drinks at the new Grand Central Hotel.

With their ceremony in Belfast City Hall and their reception just across the road (you could literally throw a stone) in Cafe Parisien, their guests barely had to hop between locations - perfect for the heel wearers!

Less than a 10-minute drive from Belfast City Hall, the Botanic Gardens provided the perfect setting for Caolán and Francesca private wedding photography session. We explored the beautiful green spaces, capturing moments among the trees and in front of the famous 19th Century Palm House.

After a bit of down-time spent together, we ventured back to Café Parisien for a lovely reception and some much-appreciated food! With its warm atmosphere and stunning views of City Hall, it was the perfect setting to celebrate with their loved ones, raising a glass to a day filled with love, laughter, and adventure.

This peaceful spot is often quieter on weekdays, with fewer visitors lounging on the grass, making it ideal for intimate photos. For couples considering this location, there is a small council fee of £24 for wedding photography.

If you’d like to have photos inside the Palm House, Temperate House, or Ulster Museum, be sure to check their opening times in advance, as access may be limited depending on the day and season.
